My apologies. Internet connectivity issues here in Comal.

50:07
Great report, Dr. Martinez. Thank you for all of the work that you and the Hogg Foundation are doing.

50:13
Dr. Martinez - you delivered a lot of important information in the time that you were able! Great work!

50:18
is the public zoom or audio working? i have some people text me stating they can't get into the meeting

51:41
Thank you all, for your patience. We are working out an issue with the YouTube stream. We apologize for the delay.

56:33
Along the line/tangent that Dr. Fabelo, Dr. Martinez and Deputy Commissioner Maples with condensing and consolidating our wish list - we need the message of our commission to be mental health rehabilitation equals public safety. And, spending smart money on MH/IDD treatment reduces public safety jail etc. dollars.

For those who are interested, Pathways to Hope is virtual this year on August 21 and 22. Registration is free and Judge Specia is the opening speaker, I believe.

01:02:23
I may have missed this from our last speaker, but my understanding is there is a program in Eugene, Oregon that has been successfully functioning for some time to provide emergency MI and health interventions that were previously handled by law enforcement.

01:04:47
Thanks Mr. Davis, that is true. There are good programs in Eugene, Boulder and a handful of other places and it’s great to see that trend accelerating.

01:05:33
youtube is still down just FYI - my wonderful Alyse Ferguson MH Managed Counsel from Collin just reported to me that she received JCMH message that you are working on the problem.

01:05:39
Is exploring this option part of our strategic plan, or could it be added?

01:16:31
I believe Mr. Davis' idea about the Eugene, OR program and would certainly take some burden off of Law Enforcement.

01:18:37
It appears there are two audio feeds going on; significant reverb is happening. Janis

01:19:23
Janis: That's not happening on my end. Might it be your system?

01:23:26
The increased show up rate is consistent with court experiences across the country and in Texas.

01:44:47
The Annual Report can also be found here: http://texasjcmh.gov/media/1842/jcmh-2019-annual-report-to-the-courts.pdf

01:48:04
The Annual Report looks great!

01:48:30
Yes it does! Great job!

01:59:56
well done, Kristi Taylor, and JCMH!

02:12:00
agreed -- well done Kristi and team!

02:13:34
This is fantastic!

02:16:03
I was so happy to see the procedures in Municipal / JP courts. In my practice days, I represented many defendants with MH/IDD. It was a frustrating experience because my client typically was making a decision that made perfect sense to me when seen through his/her eyes, but nothing in the law allowed me to use that defensively as a shield. Very important work on these leg recommendations.

02:30:40
Great report Justice Boyce!

02:31:12
Excellent work by the LRC!

02:34:15
Can you please put a link in the chat for this Supreme Court SB 362 Task Force report?

02:35:23
Thank you Leslie - I would appreciate that as well

02:35:48
It's a part of the pdf that was linked during Justice Boyce's presentation.

02:35:57
We are on pg 64 Appendix B of the Legislative Recommendations report posted above in the chat window.

02:36:07
Thank you.

02:36:16
Thank you

02:36:26
pp. 10-13

02:39:00
I would add that the 11 proposals that Justice Boyce highlighted in his report were supported unanimously by the Legislative Research Committee (including the bill language).

02:43:12
We have a technology process in Collin County with and between law enforcement and judges using Dropbox after texting the judge for availability to review AW and/or SW. The LE have joint membership in our DB folders. We use pdf expert or other apps to sign and then send back to DB shared folders.

02:44:12
Good information Judge Wheless :)

02:47:46
Thank you Professor Shannon for highlighting the unanimous nature of the legislation recommendations; that is a confirmation of your stout efforts and those of the workgroup’s efforts

02:51:02
well done Judge Wheless

02:51:42
Judge Stacey Mathews has been a big contribution to our JJBB! I failed to thank her properly and add that there will be trauma informed intercept considerations as well!

02:54:01
Also, our collaborative group have been working very hard and diligently and have held separate sub-committee Zoom meetings on their respective sections. We literally could not have done this without their hard work.

02:55:54
So true, Judge Wheless!! The bench book has benefitted from the contributions of so many terrific people.

02:57:22
Thank you all for the dedicated work by the JCMH to develop these detailed reports, thoughtful legislative recommendations, and deliberate development of the summit to offer greater insight into the judicial system through the intercept model!

02:58:01
Summit is November 9th and 10th, 2020

03:01:55
Do you need a Motion to adopt/accept the budget?

03:02:13
Don't forget a picture

03:02:47
Thank you Kristi, you and your team have done a great job!

03:02:57
Hear hear!

03:03:58
Great job everyone for continuing the work throughout current challenges. The creativity and innovation has been superb and allows us to not miss a step
